Most Atlassian admins are tracking one date: March 2029. But a different deprecation is already active — and it's affecting the apps in your instance right now.

Since March 2026, Connect apps have a hard ceiling on what vendors can deliver. They can fix bugs, but they can't add new capabilities, expand their footprint, or integrate anywhere new.

Phase 3 — full end of support — arrives sometime in Q4 2026, after which Atlassian stops maintaining compatibility entirely. Unlike Data Center's hard cutoff, this one degrades gradually. By the time something breaks, the window to respond deliberately may already be closed.

In this session, Rodney Nissen (The Jira Guy) will walk through what the Connect deprecation actually means for admins, how to audit your app estate using Atlassian's new in-product warnings, how to assess where your vendors stand on migration, and what your options are if you're stuck on a critical app with no path forward.

You'll leave with a clear inventory process, the right questions to ask before Phase 3 lands, and a realistic picture of what "this app still works" actually means after Q4 2026.
