What really happens between a Git push and a live deployment?

In this hands-on, demo-driven session, we’ll build a complete CI/CD pipeline from scratch using Bitbucket Pipelines, AWS, and Atlassian Jira. The session will walk through how code changes can automatically trigger deployments, securely publish a website to AWS S3, and update Jira tickets based on deployment status.

We’ll cover the full flow from configuring pipeline stages like build, test, and deploy, to managing AWS credentials securely, reading pipeline logs, handling failures, and closing the loop with Jira automation.

This session is designed for developers, DevOps engineers, and teams who want to make their deployment process more automatic, auditable, and connected with their project workflow.

By the end of the session, attendees will understand how to create a practical CI/CD workflow that connects code, cloud deployment, and Jira ticket tracking reducing manual effort and improving deployment visibility.
