This session covers how to wire Jira automation to your CI/CD pipeline so issue status, release notes, and deployment visibility update themselves.

We'll go through automation rules end to end - triggers, conditions, actions, and smart values - then connect Jira to Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins so commits, pull requests, and deployments drive transitions automatically. The session includes a live rule build, plus the failure modes nobody warns you about: rule loops, actor permission errors, service limits, and rules that silently stop firing.
