Let’s Get Credentialed: Loom Fundamentals — Virtual Meetup

Aug 26, 4:00 – 6:00 PM (UTC)

30 people have registered for this event

Tired of burning meeting time on status updates and “quick” walkthroughs that still leave people confused? Loom can help you move more of that work into clear, reusable async updates. This session gives you a structured way to level up those skills and walk away with a Loom Fundamentals credential to show for it.

On Wednesday, August 26, from 12:00–2:00 PM ET, the Program/Project Masters chapter is hosting a special “Let’s Get Credentialed” event focused on the Loom Fundamentals Atlassian Certificate Holder (ACH) exam. The core credential session follows the official 90‑minute Event‑in‑a‑Box format, wrapped with time at the beginning and end to connect with other PMs and program leaders.

We’ll open the Zoom room at 12:00 PM ET for an informal icebreaker and quick introductions. This is your “virtual hallway” time: meet other practitioners, share how you’re using (or hoping to use) Loom today, and compare notes on the learning path. At 12:15 PM ET we’ll shift into the credential flow.

First, Atlassian Certified Trainer and Community Champion Heather Ronnebeck will review key concepts from the Loom Fundamentals learning path: recording effective videos, using Loom’s editing and AI features to make them clearer and more concise, sharing responsibly across your teams and tools, and keeping your Loom library organized so people can actually find and reuse the good stuff. The goal isn’t to teach Loom from scratch, but to reinforce what you’ve already studied and answer the questions that came up as you worked through the courses.

Next, we’ll walk through exam logistics together: how to log into CM Connect, access the free Loom Fundamentals ACH exam in Certiverse, what “open book” means in practice, and what to do if you hit any technical snags. Then we’ll give you a quiet window to start (and ideally complete) the 20‑question, open‑book exam during the event, with Heather and the hosts available for support on access and logistics.

We’ll close with a live Q&A / AMA. If you’ve ever wondered how to use Loom for program updates, stakeholder briefings, or internal walkthroughs without overwhelming people, this is a chance to ask those questions directly. We’ll celebrate anyone who finishes and passes on the day, and talk through next steps for anyone who prefers to finish the exam on their own time.

By the end of the session, you’ll have:

  • Put the Loom Fundamentals learning path into practice with guided review and live Q&A

  • Taken (or at least started) the free, open‑book Loom Fundamentals ACH exam with community support

  • Collected concrete ideas for using Loom to reduce status meetings, protect focus time, and keep stakeholders aligned in Jira‑/Confluence‑centric environments

This event is designed for project managers, program managers, PMO/EPMO practitioners, and Atlassian power users who want a practical, credential‑backed way to show they can communicate clearly with Loom in real delivery environments.

Important notes:

  • The Loom Fundamentals learning path is required pre‑work. Plan on about 1 hour 45 minutes to complete it before the event so you can get the most from the review and exam window. Details to follow via your RSVP email address.

  • The ACH exams are free and unproctored, but you’ll need an Atlassian Testing (CM Connect) account to register and launch the exam. We’ll share links and setup steps in advance.

  • The full Zoom block is 12:00–2:00 PM ET. The core credential flow runs roughly 12:15–1:45 PM, with optional networking and Q&A on either side.

Come prepared, leave credentialed—and with a clearer playbook for using Loom to keep your programs moving without adding more meetings.
