A Pioneering Large Scale Migration to Atlassian Cloud

Atlassian have been building out their advanced Cloud offerings for a number of years, but only with the recent release of Cloud Premium and announcement of Cloud Enterprise has this platform been truly viable for larger businesses. With uptime SLAs, increased user counts, and premium support, many of the features required by large businesses are now available in the Premium and Enterprise offerings. A new question has emerged, however: 'How do we get our current systems into the Cloud?'

Arm, the leading global semiconductor designer, found themselves asking this very question in 2019. With a cloud-first vision for their technology services, and a historically highly complex and distributed Atlassian estate, the path forward was unclear.
