The Codegeist hackathon is an opportunity to build those ideas that have been floating around in between chat rooms. We assembled a task force Comalatech team members who got together and experimented with Forge to build our winning app Comala Read Confirmations. Created and launched during 4 weeks of hacking on top of Atlassian's cloud platform, we learned firsthand what Forge offers developers.

As two-time Codegeist winners, Comalatech has a unique perspective on Atlassian's hackathon. We want to share with the Community our experience participating in Codegeist 2020, so others can learn to get the most out of participating in the hackathon, and discuss the benefits of Atlassian's new "Forge" Cloud platform. While the platform is still in development, and new functionalities are constantly being shipped by the Forge team, we are happy to share our impressions based on what we worked on during the Codegeist event. We will share a simple framework that makes participating in the event a lean experience and hopefully smoothes out the process for newcomers and veterans alike.
