About this event

Outdoor Networking and Putting Green

We're kicking off this event outside to enjoy summer and to keep the atmosphere fun and light. We're also providing good quality organic food, soft drinks, beer and wine in advance of the presentations. So, come early and partake and chat with fellow professionals.

Responsible Change Control on your Jira instances - Nelson Jordan, Adaptavist

Organizations often struggle with implementing configuration changes to their JIRA instances and propagating the changes from development to production. They lack proper change control and governance standards and by default have to resort to manual updates of the new configuration in production; making the entire process ad-hoc and error prone. Nelson will offer steps in creating a sensible change control and governance process. The presentation will also cover how to propagate changes in a controlled manner via version control and automation. Learn some important tips before you plan that next Jira upgrade!

Data Migration War Stories - Beyond the CSV by Michael Kuhl, KratoSoft

Migrating data from 3rd party apps to Jira or Confluence is rarely as simple as running an import wizard. Data is often dirty and shaped quite differently. In this presentation, Michael Kuhl will discuss various methods of migrating data into Jira and Confluence and show how he used a free iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) app to transform large volumes of data from 3rd party apps and loaded them into Jira and Confluence with better control, higher quality, and less effort than using a CSV.

Member Use Case Presentations

Because this user group is about providing value to our users, As we did at our January meeting, we will invite four attendees to describe their Atlassian use cases for the group. The top three compelling descriptions as judged by the group will be awarded a bottle of high-quality wine with the following price ranges: first prize $ 100, second prize $75 and third prize $50 plus new Atlassian brand SWAG.

Virtual Reality sponsor prizes

Play the AUG Virtual Reality Game and the first winners will have their choice of many prizes. Also, the high scoring winners will receive $50 Atlassian SWAG cards and we have 5 of them!
