What started as a simple idea during a customer conversation turned into something much bigger and ended up winning Atlassian’s Codegeist 2024.

In the first half of this session, I’ll be joined by Gabriel from Apwide to share how feedback from real teams led to the creation of Apwide Booking, a lightweight app that simplifies booking shared resources like test environments, meeting rooms, or even people. We’ll look at how it compares to native Jira approaches, and with your help, do some stress-testing by integrating it with Atlassian Rovo.

Then we’ll shift gears and welcome Mel from Atlassian, a Forge Developer Advocate, who will take us behind the scenes of Forge, the platform that made Apwide Booking possible. Mel will explain what Forge is, walk us through the underlying tech, and show us what it can do with a live demo. If we’re lucky, she might even bring her Lego!
