Continuous delivery with automated testing and deployment can really kickstart a DevOps culture. So where do you start? Most organizations feel the impact of small functional changes causing huge manual regression testing efforts. The solution might be to start developing automated testing on already deployed products. This effort becomes more of a burden than the regression testing itself. Also, maintainability of an automated CI/CD architecture might be lost due to an improper implementation, such as choosing tools that do not fit the culture or main codebase. So what is the best way to go?
Luckily, Jira users already have an edge. We will explore how to apply a few simple principles and practices in your Jira process to help you get your DevOps culture started with the right mindset. A self-managed team that implements a common user-story language can choose the right technologies to fit the CI/CD environment. We will also present a complete automated testing and deployment strategy, and case study using Jira that you can try on your own. By the end of this event, you will also have an understanding from the Atlassian community of what has worked using Jira.
