About this event

Let's talk about how Atlassian tools can help us be on the same page and stay aligned between business teams and delivery teams.

We will review best practices and little hacks/tips that are available for most users of Jira out of the box.

We will share real use cases that our customers are coming to us with (do reach out to us if you have your own story you want to share).

We will also briefly review apps and Jira Automation options that can make the alignment even smoother.

Snacks and drink provided to ease you into the weekend.

Meet your speakers:

Jens Schumacher

Jens joined Atlassian in 2004 as employee #12, shaping some of its most iconic products. Over his tenure, he led product management for Jira, Jira Service Management, and Bitbucket. Today, he’s the founder and CEO of Released.so, helping teams deliver clear, effective customer communication.

About Jens' talk:

"Drawing from real-world experience at Atlassian, this talk unpacks the hard-won lessons of communicating product roadmaps effectively. Learn how to identify stakeholder needs, set clear expectations, and craft roadmaps that drive alignment and impact."

Darrel Jackson:

Darrel is a Senior Solutions Architect with Chorus New Zealand. He had 25 years experience in telecommunications software development. As a side hustle he is the lead administrator for Chorus's Atlassian Cloud site and has been working with Jira and Confluence since 2016. He is a member of Chorus's Agile Centre of Excellence which maintains the operating model for Chorus IT delivery. Darrel's based in Wellington, New Zealand, is married with two kids and is an avid board gamer and PC gamer.

About Darrel's talk:

Unique opportunity to have a peek at how an organisation like Chorus adopted Atlassian stack over the years to achieve an alignment for their technology and business teams, the features they've used the most and the gaps they've identified.

Irina Mosina

As a Community Leader with years of experience working alongside teams large and small, I'm always excited to share my real-life knowledge with communities of Atlassian Users. In my "day" job I'm a founder and CEO of TechTime, Atlassian Solution Partner and Marketplace Vendor.

Fun fact: I've worked with Jira as a developer when it was still just an issue tracker back in 2002! What a journey it's been!

About Irina's talk:

"Let's have a look at how Atlassian System of Work maps to the real examples of what our customers wanted to help with year after year: visualisation of work and effort across the whole hierarchy"
