About this event

With organizations moving toward or embracing DevOps many have chosen Bitbucket to manage their source code with

Git. While you may know Git, you may not know how to make the most of it with Bitbucket.

In this talk, you'll get comfortable with using Bitbucket from an end-user's perspective. You'll learn about the structure of

Bitbucket, its powerful features, and best practices for getting the most out of it. You'll learn how to manage both source

code and releases with user-friendly and practical tips to help you start your DevOps journey the right way. What's more,

integrating Bitbucket with JIRA can greatly reduce context switching and provide visibility into code changes as well as

releases.

After attending this talk, attendees should be able to:

*Understand why version control is critical

*Navigate the Bitbucket UI and its features

*Review basic Git commands and committing changes

*Demonstrate branching strategies and tagging in Git

             *Merge changes into your repositories

*Integrate Bitbucket with JIRA for better visibility
