Controlling the Chaos: Incident Management Workshop

This is a special out-of-cycle event where we'll be hosting a guest presenter from xMatters, an ITSM integration platform. Starting with a presentation on ITSM best practices, we'll then run an incident resolution workshop where attendees track and resolve a simulated incident. The workshop will use a demo stack of BigPanda, JIRA Service Desk, HipChat, and StatusPage integrated with xMatters.

About this event

Whether you’re managing deployments or resolving major incidents, targeted communications to individuals and groups are a large part of successful outcomes. Learn about the APM (Application Performance Management/Monitoring) class of tools, and how they can be integrated with incident management tooling to expedite issue detection, manage communications and facilitate corrective action.

In the hands-on workshop, groups of attendees will use a demo stack consisting of monitoring applications paired with BigPanda, xMatters, JIRA Service Desk, HipChat, and StatusPage. Your group will be presented with simulated incident scenarios and challenged to provide an incident response using the tools available.

The xMatters team will be around to answer questions, offer support and present prizes to members of the leading workshop team/s.
