Hello everyone and happy New Year,
Your Vancouver Atlassian Community Events hosts hope you had a good and safe holiday season.
With 2021 underway administrators of “On-Prem” Server versions of Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket have a little over three years before support for those products is suspended. If you missed the original announcement you can read further about it here: https://www.atlassian.com/blog/announcements/journey-to-cloud
Fortunately you and your organization don’t need to make your journey to Cloud or Data Center by yourself.
On January 27th at Noon Pacific time the Vancouver Atlassian Community will be hosting a Virtual Meetup featuring Jeff Audette from Highway Three Solutions and Joanne Yo from Atlassian to talk about the Journey to Cloud as well as help answer any questions about the process and decisions facing you and your organization.
This presentation outlines the current situation, options, and advice to organizations as they evaluate the recent announcement by Atlassian to migrate their self hosted server based products to a cloud based model by February 2024.
With the Community Events remaining virtual for a while yet, I’m sure many are missing the food, swag and networking that typically accompanies these meet-ups. Once the presentation concludes we will open up a breakout room where we will be raffling off gift cards (details to come) and allowing people to socialize and ask further questions.
If your organization needs to migration from Server to Cloud or are interested in Atlassian Cloud in general this virtual event is not to be missed.
Hope you can join us on Jan 27th and stay safe.
