From our experience, the typical process of implementing Atlassian tools usually starts with development and service management teams, especially in fintech companies. This makes sense—these teams are the engines of their organizations, shouldering the bulk of project workloads. But this isn’t one of those typical cases.

At the first Atlassian Community Event of the year in Zagreb, Dalibor Harmina from Adaptavist will share an unusual story—not about Benjamin Button—but about a European fintech giant where the adoption of Atlassian software began in the marketing team!
Faced with an increased workload, the marketing team realized they needed a platform to organize their tasks and track the success of their efforts. They chose Jira, and before long, the “Atlassian virus” had spread throughout the company. In a remarkably short time, Jira Service Management, Compass, Confluence, and Jira Product Discovery were implemented across all departments.
