Did you know there's a legitimate link between Godzilla and Atlassian's Jira? 🦖

In the early days of Jira’s development, Atlassian used Bugzilla for bug tracking. As big fans of classic Japanese Godzilla films, they started calling it by its original name—Gojira. Over time, the first two letters faded away, and today, we all know the world’s most popular collaboration tool as Jira.

This little story serves as a perfect intro to invite you to the second official Atlassian Community Event in Zagreb this year, taking place on December 5th from 5:30 PM at Koios’ office (Radnička cesta 37A, 4th floor).

Why are we inviting you again? Simple—we’ve got another cool Atlassian story packed with valuable insights!

The Atlassian toolset often drives digital transformation in large organizations. But as you may know, taming Jira—especially in massive environments like banks—can be as challenging as taming Godzilla from the start of our story. This is exactly the case with OTP Bank, which has been leveraging Atlassian’s ecosystem for years and will share their experience at the ACE event in Zagreb.

Our guest speaker will be Nebojša Veljanovski, Head of IT Tools at OTP Bank. With extensive experience across various positions in the bank, Nebojša has gained deep insight into numerous internal processes. This knowledge proved invaluable when his team became a part of the bank’s digital transformation journey a few years ago—making him the perfect speaker for our upcoming Atlassian Community Event.

This will be our final Atlassian meetup of the year in Zagreb, and we’re looking forward to celebrating in the relaxed atmosphere that the holiday season naturally brings. Expect an engaging talk, followed by some food, drinks, and a toast to another successful year of Atlassian meetups.
