Team-Managed (formerly next-gen) projects are a new way of managing Jira projects that give more control of configurations to teams and make it easier to stand up projects. Company-managed projects aren't going away, but it is important to understand the differences between the two so that you and your Jira administrator can choose the best type of project for your use case.
