The Minneapolis-Twin Cities Atlassian Community Relaunch!

Mar 15, 2023, 9:30 PM – Mar 16, 2023, 12:00 AM

With the exception of the Perforce Gliffy app team's love in Apptoberfest 2021, the official Minneapolis-Twin Cities Atlassian Community has otherwise been dormant since 2017. Join us at Perforce's beautifully redesigned office in the historic downtown Minneapolis Wyman Building for the relaunch of the community and the first Twin Cities in-person Atlassian event since 2017!

About this event

Please join us for the relaunch of the Minneapolis-Twin Cities, MN Atlassian Community! This event will be hosted 100% in-person at the Perforce HQ in their redesigned loft office in downtown Minneapolis.

Atlassian is hearing from Community Leaders around the world community members and attendees are eager for in-person events, so we wanted to enable community members to connect in-person for this first event. But for those of you who can't make it, don't fear, there will be virtual, hybrid, and in-person events in the future, too!

Come meet the new co-leaders of the chapter, network and socialize with local Atlassian peers and enthusiasts, and learn some tips and tricks in an informal and playful presentation on Atlassian Cloud Migrations paired with a few games of 50 Ball Bingo -- with Atlassian swag and prizes for Bingo winners, of course!

We'll also be sharing our thoughts and vision for the chapter and soliciting your suggestions before, during, and after this event on topics of interest, events of interest, potential locations for future in-person events, and more!

Registration Required:

All attendees must register for the event here, and check-in upon arrival: https://ace.atlassian.com/events/details/atlassian-minneapolis-twin-cities-presents-the-minneapolis-twin-cities-atlassian-community-relaunch/

Registration is limited to 70 people. Please register if you are certain you can attend. Contact Colin or Jessica (the event organizers) if you need to cancel a registration so that someone else can attend (and so we order the right amount of food!).

Arrival Time:

Attendees must arrive between 4:30PM-5:15PM CST to attend this event. For security, the Wyman Building is locked after hours, and an employee badge is required in the elevator to enter the Perforce office. Volunteers will be downstairs to escort attendees upstairs between 4:40-5:15PM. Bingo and the presentation will begin shortly after!

Event Etiquette and Expectations:

We want everyone to enjoy their time at this event and to feel welcomed and accepted. Please review the Atlassian Community Events Etiquette guidelines here.

Accessibility Notes:

The Wyman Building was originally built as a warehouse in 1896. There are a few concrete stairs to enter the building, and a few granite stairs in the lobby of the building to access the elevators. Once inside the building, there is a ramp beside the stairs.

COVID-19 Precautions:

In alignment with Perforce's company policy, COVID-19 testing prior to the event is encouraged for the safety of both the team and other visitors. If you would like to receive a free at-home test, please email skaufman@perforce.com. You may also be eligible to order 4 free at-home tests at no charge from USPS. Please do not attend if you’re feeling unwell or are recovering from any recent illness.

The Perforce space is lofty and open (that's their office in the event banner above), but feel free to wear a mask in the very small elevators up to their suite, and/or once upstairs if you'd prefer.

Parking Notes:

The Wyman Building is located on First Avenue essentially 1-2 blocks south, and between, Ramp B and Ramp C. There is a direct entrance to Ramp B from 394E into downtown. The Wyman Building is also 2 blocks from the Metro Transit Warehouse District/Hennepin Avenue Light Rail station and many Metro Transit bus lines.

Metered street parking may also be available, but it's still March in Minnesota! For those interested in street parking, please verify if any Winter Parking Restrictions or Snow Emergencies are in place by the City of Minneapolis.

Please contact Colin or Jessica with any registration issues, accessibility questions, or food allergy concerns.
