Ahmed Mohamed Maawy is a seasoned technologist with over a decade of experience growing and leading technology products across the African continent. He is currently the VP for Engineering at Steamlytics, Streamlytics uses data science to measure what content people are watching and listening to across streaming platforms. Prior to Streamlytics his work spanned leading engineering at Griffin Kenya (an InsureTech Company) as the Chief Technology Officer to working for innovative and disruptive startups like EveryLayer Broadband, Ushahidi, and one of Time's Magazine 50 most genius companies BRCK; the only company in East Africa that designs its own complete hardware and software stack. Most recently he was at the Al Jazeera Media Network, working on both Digital & Broadcast technical integrations. He was part of the team that launched Al Jazeera’s streaming service AJ+ and was heavily involved in the organization's Media Archive Artificial Intelligence projects.
Dynamic and passionate Software Developer with experience in designing and developing user-centric and robust systems and applications. Strategic and creative thinker, with the ability to articulate and present technical matters to all audiences. Owned software development strategy from concept to implementation and user experience.

I hold the business of design dear having realised how generally it impacts People and relationships. Like all designers I believe design can change the world, I mean it was created by it.
That's why over the years I have been out helping connect business with people. On this, I have worked on development & design projects for a number of amazing Businesses, Individuals & Startups. I have engaged clients in different fields e.g. Banking, insurance, Fin-tech, E-Commerce, Entertainment, Communities, Education and several others. Some of the companies being - NCBA, PACE Africa, Smart People Africa, E-merse, DroidconKE, Invent Consulting Ltd. and Think Organic Kenya.
Currently I help Create Engaging & Working Solutions for Brands, whether starting or are in the game. I do this at Tiskos Kenya, a design business I transitioned to. I am also a DroidconKE organizer and Lead Creative Director, I am also Brand manager at a startup - Think Organic Kenya.
Daniel is a dedicated person who is positive in every aspect of life. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Nairuby Mombasa Co-Organizer, Open Source Enthusiast, Tech Evangelist, Data Analyst(using R and SPSS) and a Web Developer who loves Ruby but also plays with Nodejs and python.
