His software career started in the development of mission critical applications including a submarine combat system, air traffic control system and traffic and transport management system. He worked in a number of startups and other ventures before joining Atlassian in 2013. Dugald joined Atlassian as a developer and was initially involved in the development of various integrations. In 2015, Dugald joined the Ecosystem team and led the teams responsible for the Connect platform. Dugald joined the Developer Advocacy team in 2020 where his current focus is Forge.
