Our next event will be unlike any that we’ve had before. 

Our next event will be unique - it’ll be loosely modeled on the ‘Lean Coffee’ format. There was a lot that occurred at Team25 and even those that attended will not have seen or recalled everything. And if like me you did not attend, this will be a great way to digest a number of the announcements and takeaways in a fun and engaging and time-efficient way.

What is the Lean Coffee format?

Basically, ‘Lean Coffee’ is a lightly structured agenda-less meeting. Originally developed about 15 years ago for people meeting at a coffee shop to discuss a range of topics, they found a way to use ‘lean’ or agile’ techniques to do so…and thus Lean Coffee was born.

As mentioned, our event will be loosely modeled on this concept.  Everyone who attends will get to submit topics, vote on them and decide how much time to spend on chosen topics.

This approach helps in several ways…

1. No one has to prepare a presentation.

2. Attendees will have a more engaging experience e.g. they don’t need to sit and watch a Powerpoint-led talk.

Ultimately the flow of the meeting is democratically generated by the attendees - in this case some of whom attended Team25 and others who are just interested in the topics under discussion. Any participant can also ask questions while participating in the ongoing discussion. Everyone who wishes to can actively participate via speaking and all will benefit by listening!  We will use a facilitator to make sure the conversation flows smoothly. 

It should be a blast.

So whether you went to Team25 or are just Team25-curious - and ultimately Atlassian-curious, because Team25 announcements will affect a wide range of Atlassian products and users - this should be a worthwhile experience for all.

And of course we will have good food and drink and you’ll get a chance to connect with other attendees in our Community i.e. other customers, partners and local Atlassians.
