Hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected. Since we last met, a pandemic hit the world and most of us have been impacted in some way. It threw our meetings in a loop as well (explained in recent email). Our next meeting is virtual, and is on the hot topic, implementing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) with Jira. Joining us remotely to present will be Evan Golden from VisualScript.

As you are well aware, many organizations (and likely yours) use Jira Software to manage the work of their product development teams. The challenge comes as organizations start to scale and implement different frameworks like the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®). Some of these challenges include things like reporting and visibility.
In his talk, "SAFe® Reporting and Planning with Jira" - scheduled for our next meeting on Thursday, June 25, just after the noon hour - Lead Solutions Engineer, Evan Golden from VisualScript will provide an overview of how to configure both the Essential and Portfolio levels of SAFe® with just out of the box Jira Software configurations.
Next, he will present the challenges that come with these implementations, followed by how you can use different apps in the Atlassian Marketplace to help fill the gaps. Finally, he will demo a SAFe® reporting and planning solution with VisualScript for Jira.
Our first virtual event will be held around the lunch hour - we realize that this might work great for some and not so well for others. If you cannot make it to this one, rest assured other meetings are in the works. Unless we get overwhelming positive feedback around the midday timing, we may plan the next virtual event for early evening.
This will be a Zoom meeting. Remember that start time on June 25 is 12PM (noon) Central Time. Please consider joining a few minutes early.
